It appears I have become a victim. None of my blogs were purged…
But apparently tickles are lewd enough now that some of my posts have to be hidden. I do not want to click a stupid little appeal button
It might be time for desperate measures… Measures I’m sure some of you won’t like.
Starting Today, I’m going to find alternate accounts for all the people I’m following, follow them there and cease posting anything of substantial value here till the end of all time.
Don’t contact me here, you won’t get any response. The next and final post will be links to where you can find me.
It’s been fun, tumblr users, but staff? y’all stink of corporate rot.
So it has come to my attention that I am very unmotivated when it comes to artwork. Weeks on end without updates in any internet location, a lethargic feeling when i actually am working on something, and a grand lack of motivation. I like to think that I enjoy doing artwork. The problem is that my behavior says otherwise. Couple that with the fact that some people say if you turn a hobby into a career, it becomes work, and therefore no longer a hobby. But I’ve decided it’s now or never, and I should just gauge the audience instead.
If I were to start a Patreon, would you fund me?
If I got enough people who were actually committed, I would have a reason to devote more time to my work, be that music, art or writing besides the fact that I’m between jobs without anything else to do…
Last Wedsnesday, I had someone send me a personal message, asking if I took art trades or commissions. I replied that I don’t like art trades, but I do do commissions, and I’d be happy to give them my rates. (you can find those rates on my DA account, by the way) They asked for the $30 linework, and I was ecstatic! I Thought this would be a great opportunity to get some money in my pocket! So I went to it with great enthusiasm, using their pony creator OC to make something pretty.
When it was all done, I posted it up with a watermark over it, secure in my confidence that I’d get my money.
That’s a thing, huh? A thing that happens every year…
New year’s resolution? I have no idea what you’re talking about.
Sorry guys, I’m not making any commitments I can’t keep. that being said, do give Redblak some love. My inbox is empty, and I really can’t move on without giving the character an action some people might not like. So please, send some [INPUT], and I’ll be right back to work! But if you need a guilt trip, well…
Hey guys! Firefanatic checking in. I haven’t done a blog post in a
while, so I’m doing one right now. Anyway, as you can see in the title, I
want to ask about money stuff.
See, as an artist, I have to work
a day job, but my first love will probably always be the arts; drawing,
music making, writing, and a little side of programming.
But obviously, I would dearly like to not have
to work a day job, and work on my labor of love. So this brings a
question. “Who is willing to support me, and how, so that I can post up
pony artworks more often?”
There are many sorts of ways I could
think of begging my audience for money, but I feel it would be better if
I asked your opinion. I’ll even take one or two commissions, provided I
know how to set up my paypal account properly…
Anyway, that’s all I have to talk about. Please do leave a comment regarding how you might support me, if at all. Remember: You aren’t obligated, I do have a day job, but if you help, this can become my job!
I decided to take a request. Now this is not going to be a regular thing
at all, so don’t expect more of this. I’d like to take a request. Not
several, not two, one request. Sure, you can throw in yours, but I give no guarantees. It’s no fun if the artist doesn’t like the subject.
Hey all, before I have to sign off for the long three day haul, I wanted to tell you something. I had a webcomic idea going on in my head, and was wondering about your opinions.
It’s about a group of explorers waking up an ancient human being who has done unspeakable evil with her power….
((You know ponies won’t last forever, so I figure I should have an original idea brewing in my head when that tragic time comes marking the end of pony.))
That’s right, you all heard me. I’ve got a long-term assignment at a production line, which means 12 hour shifts, standin’ around, and lots of hard work. I’m going to be plum tired by the end of the week.
But fear not! This type of work I am doing will only be for THREE out of seven days. I will STILL have time to work on things I want to work on, should the spirit move me! With that out of the way, I’ll catch you all later!
Hey guys! sorry for not giving you the weekly report last Sunday! Take heart though, I have something called an excuse!
Last Monday, I had to get my wisdom teeth pulled; all four of them. So as of now, I am still recovering from the affliction of having four less teeth than I used to, and taking…
